Take a Word - Vintage Moo

This week's theme at Take a Word is VINTAGE MOO. A Moo is a tiny card - template measurement 1.10 x 2.80 inches (2.79 x 7.11 mm) or thereabouts. I made three of these little cards using one gentlemen stamp from Paperartsy, and placed them on a 4 by 6 inch card. The sentiment is from the same stamp. The backgrounds were made with Distress Inks.

Het thema van deze week Take a Word is VINTAGE MOO. Een Moo is een klein kaartje van 1.10 x 2.80 inch (2.79 x 7.11 mm), dus nog kleiner dan een ATC. Ik heb er drie gemaakt met een gentlemen stempel van Paperartsy. De drie moo's heb ik samen met de tekst van dezelfde stempel op een kaart van 10x15 cm geplakt. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress inkt.

Take a Word - Nature

This week's theme at Take a Word is NATURE. This is my entry. The man and the butterflies are stamps from Stampers Anonymous, coloured with Copics. The other stamps are from Paperartsy. The background is coloured with Adirondack inks using a stipple brush. I like the vintage result on matte paper. The fragments are coloured with alcohol inks.

Take a Word - A new year

This week's theme at Take a Word is A NEW YEAR. Last year was not a very creative year for me. My stamps have not seen ink for several months. For this year, my hope to join this and other challenges more regularly. Let's start small with an ATC for this week's theme. The background is coloured with alcohol inks. The musicians image is from Crafty Individuals. I wish everybody a wonderful and creative 2012!

De woorden van deze week bij Take a Word zijn A NEW YEAR. Nadat ik het afgelopen jaar weinig aan deze hobby gedaan heb, is mijn voornemen de draad weer op te pakken. Dit thema is een mooie gelegenheid! De achtergrond van deze ATC heb ik gekleurd met alcohol inkt. Het plaatje is van Crafty Individuals. Iedereen een heel fijn en creatief 2012!

Framed acetate

The Gothic Acetate Arches in the January issue of the Craftstamper magazine inspired me to create this acetate project. I coloured the acetate with alcohol inks, the image is a stamp from PaperArtsy. I painted the chipboard with Fresco Finish Acryl paints (also from PaperArtsy).
On the upper left corner of the frame I used Crackle Glaze. Sometimes, crackling does not work in my projects, but this time it worked out quite well!
I used various embellishments to complete the frame.

Some experiments

Last June, Ineke and I attended the Artsycrafts weekend. We had lots of fun, and learned quite a few new techniques. It also inspired me to create some art pieces again.
For this tag I used Fresco Finish acrylic paints and two Hot Pick stamps. The ladies were printed on the tag.

The metal clock on this card was inspired by Linda Brown´s blog. I used Fresco Finish acrylic paints for the background and some Paperartsy stamps.

For this flower I used brown metal and Stream and Sunset Orange alcohol inks. The alcohol inks seem to hold only to the embossed parts.

Tag

Deze tag heb ik vandaag gemaakt op onze vrijdag hobbydag. We hadden elkaar een uitdaging gegeven. Voor mij was de uitdaging om iets te stempelen met als thema insecten. Ik mocht alleen de kleuren perzik, groen, bordeaux, wit en zwart gebruiken. Ik mocht wel zelf kiezen wat ik wilde maken.

De achtergrond heb ik met groene en zwarte dabber gemaakt. Ik heb de kleuren voorzichtig met vingers opgebracht op de tag en daarna met een natte vinger uitgewreven. Perzik is natuurlijk niet echt mijn kleur en die heb ik dan ook niet. Maar door Sunset Orange en Pink Shell dabbers te mengen is deze kleur ook gelukt! De randjes heb ik afgewerkt met Aged Mahogany Distress inkt (lijkt op bordeaux). De vlinder is gemaakt van metaal. Het was een leuke uitdaging!
