Wanderlust 2017

Last year, I did not create anything, which was ok, lots of other things to do, lot of other things happened. However, at the end of last year, I returned to our craft room, and created an ATC. This was fun to do again.

I started this year with joining Wanderlust 2017, an online class that promises a year-long journey in art journaling and mixed media. The main reason is to get inspiration to use the stamps, inks, etc. again.

Therefore, my statement is Rediscover Happiness in Creating Art.

Shrink Plastic

Earlier this week Jo Myhill used Shrink Plastic in her project on the Paperartsy blog. I wanted to make something with shrink plastic as well. I am sure we have it, but where is it? After a long search in our large pile of stamping and scrapbooking supplies, I thought I found it. I coloured it, stamped an image on it, and started to heat it. Whatever I tried, so shrinking... Turned out, I had used acetate, it said plastic on the package ...

Long search again. Now I found it, it is called 'Krimpie Dinkie' in the Netherlands, and it even has a manual how to use it. (Yes, I read the manual). I painted it with Brown Shed fresco paint, stamped the image from HP1108, heated up the oven, and waited. Now it shrinked, which is always very nice to watch. This is the result. The colour turned out a bit dark. Next time, I use a lighter colour.

I painted the ATC with Sky Blue fresco paint, and then dry brushed Baltic Blue fresco paint on top. The upper right corner is made with Grunge Paste, the cogs stamp from Clocks 5, and Treasure Gold. The face and the text are also from the HP1108 sheet.

Three Muses - Black and White

This week the Three Muses challenged us to create something in BLACK AND WHITE WITH A DASH OF ... a colour of our choice.

This ATC is my creation. The background is stamped with Stazon Jet Black on a glossy card. The dots and the branches are stamps from Stampers Anonymous. The car is from PaperArtsy.

Take a Word - Tattered

This week's challenge at Take a Word is TATTERED. I cheated a little, the only thing tattered in this ATC is the colour that I used for the face and the label: Tattered Rose.

For this ATC I tried to use distress inks on a glossy card. It works really well, and gives a nice colour.

Take a Word - Peacock

This week's theme at Take a Word is PEACOCK. This ATC is my entry. The peacock feathers are coloured with Perfect Pearls. THe bird´s head is a stamp from Paperartsy.

Take a Word - Egg

With Easter around the corner, this week's theme at Take a Word is EGGS. Easter eggs with chickens or easter bunnies are a bit too cute for me. However, when this figure pops out of the egg, it is going to be a happy Easter!

Pasen komt er weer aan en het thema van deze week bij Take a Word past er erg mooi bij: EGGS. Een paasei met een kuikentje of een haasje is een beetje te zoet voor mij. Maar als deze persoon uit het ei komt wordt het zeker een vrolijk pasen!

Take a Word - Old-fashioned

This week's theme at Take a Word is OLD-FASHIONED/ATC. This is my entry. I created this card some time ago, but had put it aside then. The boy is an image from Crafty Individuals. The embellishments are from Idea-ology.

This week's theme at Take a Word is A NEW YEAR. Last year was not a very creative year for me. My stamps have not seen ink for several months. For this year, my hope to join this and other challenges more regularly. Let's start small with an ATC for this week's theme. The background is coloured with alcohol inks. De woorden van deze week bij Take a Word zijn A NEW YEAR. Nadat ik het afgelopen jaar weinig aan deze hobby gedaan heb, is mijn voornemen de draad weer op te pakken. TMTA - House ATC

This week's theme at Think Monday - Think ATC is to make an ATC in the form of a house. This was a fun thing to do! My freestyle house has a large window from Crafty Individuals. The ivy is made with three colors of embossing powders. Thw foliage on the roof is from Idea-ology.

This week's theme at Think Monday - Think ATC is LIFE IN THE WATER. This fish-man, that I found a long time ago on the internet, is a perfect image for this challenge. The water drops and waves are made with Pearl pens from Viva.

Deze ATC heb ik gemaakt voor het LIFE IN THE WATER thema van Think Monday - Think ATC. Dit plaatje van een vis-man heb ik lang geleden ergens op internet gevonden. Het past perfect in dit thema. De waterdruppels en golfjes zijn gemaakt met Pearl pennen van Viva.

TMTA - Halloween

Is it almost Halloween, so is it time for black cats, bats, spiders and pumpkins. Halloween or autumn was the theme for two swaps, so I made quite a few ATCs that all look like the one above. Het is weer bijna Halloween, dus tijd voor zwarte katten, vleermuizen, spinnen en pompoenen. Halloween (of herfst) was het thema voor twee ATC swaps waaraan ik meedoe. Ik heb vrij veel ATCs gemaakt zoals deze hierboven. Ik maak er altijd een voor mezelf, en deze is mijn ATC voor het spooky thema van Think Monday - Think ATC. Bedankt voor het kijken!

Lente swap

Vandaag weer een grote uitbreiding van mijn ATC map ontvangen. Ik doe mee met ATC swaps van het forum van Joan Gevaert en van de Creative Cahos stempelgroep. Beide hadden in maart als thema Voorjaar. Hieronder de ATCs die ik ontvangen heb.

Mijn ATC heeft een metalen bloem die gekleurd is met alcohol inkten.

Three Muses - Tea time

This week The Three Muses invite us for a nice cup of tea. Personally I never drink tea, I am a coffee addict. Of course, I cannot decline this invitation, and created this ATC! The lady stamp is from Paperartsy. The cup is from Inkadinkado. Her hat is made of a tea bag.

Deze week nodigen de The Three Muses ons uit voor een nice cup of tea. Zelf drink ik nooit thee, ik ben verzot op koffie. Natuurlijk kan ik deze uitnodiging niet afslaan en heb daarom deze ATC gemaakt. De dame is een stempel van Paperartsy. Het kopje is van Inkadinkado. De hoed is gevouwen van een theezakje.
